Cape Cod - Plymouth MA Fishing Reports

Cod Fishing 4-15-06
Left plymouth harbor at 6 a.m with John and angelo Tornabene and their group from New Jersey in dense fog.We went east of stellwagen bank and stopped in 175 feet of water. The action was non-stop until the tide went slack at around 1 o'clock when it slowed down a little. The crew probably caught around 120 fish, of which half of them were keepers,it was mostly haddock with 20 keeper cod and 42 keeper haddock. It took two hours to fillet all the fish and when all of them were skinned they took home 75 pounds of the freshest fish you can get anywhere.
The water was fairly calm all day, but the fog never cleared until we got back inside of the gurnet point lighthouse.

Cod fishing report
What a great day on the water 4-10-06.Took the boat for a shakedown/ fishing trip. We went about 6 miles east of the b.e buoy which is about 30 miles from Plymouth harbor and beyond cape cod bay, in about 220 feet of water.

It was just my father and I, and we caught enough fish to keep us happy the biggest was 26# and took a clam. We caught about 25 cod and kept the biggest one for dinner, and my wife even ate some too.

The Miss Elizabeth is running perfectly I can not wait until this weekend we have three in a row. Captain Mark
