Cape Cod - Plymouth MA Fishing Reports

5-21-06 bass fishing
We left plymouth harbor at 6 a.m with Erin Sheehan and her crew from hull.Again the weather forecast was terrible,I called Erin the night before and told her that the weather did not look good and we might want to call it off.Erin wanted to go because some of her crew could only make it on the day she scheduled,I told her we would have a good day on the water but could not promise good fishing and she agreed to give it a try.We trolled scorton ledge for about an hour with no luck.I decided that some mackerel fishing would keep them busy and maybe we could catch a keeper bass or two. They were happy catching mackerel when Erins reel, and her started to scream. She landed the first bass of the day it was 38 inches and 22#.We caught a few more keepers before the storms rolled in and made us run for cover. All things considered it was a good day on the water.
