Cape Cod Plymouth Fishing Charters

Cape Cod - Plymouth MA Fishing Reports

9-6-06 shark fishing
Today we took Roy and Betty Roloff for a shark and cod trip.On the way out I suggested that we try trolling for tuna on the way to the shark fishing grounds(wildcat knoll). We stopped at the southwest corner of stellwagen bank and set out the spread. We had a few misses and we hooked up to a tuna that I am guessing was over 150 pounds, the hook pulled after it made a 200 yard run on the penn 80 with 28# of drag.We went to wildcat and started chumming, while we waited for the sharks Roy and his wife reeled cod, haddock and cusk in non-stop for about an hour and a half. When the first sharks showed up we doubled up,one was lost and one was brought to the boat for photos.Twenty minutes later we hooked up again with our third blue shark of the day, they were all about eight feet and 200 pounds. We went home early because they had enough excitement for one day. It was a great day on the water with great customers.
