74inch Bluefin Tuna for Jim Brown and friends on 7-1-10
We Left plymouth harbor at 6a.m.We arrived at the southwest corner of stellwagen bank about 730.Today we decided to fish with live pogies instead of the usual trolling squid bars. Around 815 while we were all staring at the kite bait, the rod with a pogie on the balloon starts screaming. The fish made about a one hundred yard run right around a lobster buoy,The captain did a great job getting the fish off the buoy and the fight was on. About twenty minutes later we have the big fish up to the leader,I lip gaff it and measure it several times to make sure it is legal before we take it.We caught about a dozen bass in the afternoon and headed back to plymouth. Thanks again Jim Brown and crew I had alot of fun fishing with you guys.
Summary for June

Summary of trips in May
We did about a dozen trips this month. We started out the month fishing for cod haddock and pollack. The pollack were thicker than I have ever seen them, they were chasing sand eels on the surface for what seemed like miles at times. We had our first striped bass charter on the 29th.We caught around 50 bass. They kept the limit of 2 bass per person with the average keeper about 33 inches.
